Sojin Biography and Solo Activities​

On January 9, 2011, Sojin released her first solo single for the Flames of Desire OST, "Our Love Like This". Although it is a remake of Gilme's version of the song, Sojin's clear vocals lends a bittersweet strength to the ballad.[2] On July 29, 2011, Sojin participated in a project for composer Kwak Tae Hoon's upcoming third album. Working with rapper Song Ho Bum of One-Two, Sojin lent her sweet vocals for the album's title track, "Bum Bum Bum". It's a catchy song with an infectious melody that's perfect for the summer! "Bum Bum Bum"[3] On April 19, 2012, Girl's Day made a comeback with a title track Oh My God, they released a mini album "Everyday II" with 5 tracks consist "Telepathy" which was composed by Girlsday Sojin. Its expresses a fluctuating mind of a girl who finds her ideal type and tries to attract him with telepathy. On December 7, 2012, Sojin also wrote the lyrics for Tokyo Girl's "It's Snowing" with a male composer. It is a cute song that evokes childlike innocence.[4] On March 14, 2013, Girl's day released a full-length album with the title track "Expectation". It was revealed that Sojin wrote and composed the intro song "Girl's Day World," and the Girlsday members also penned the lyrics for "I Don't Mind." On April 5, 2013, Electroboyz returned with Ma Boy 3 feat. Girl’s Day Sojin on Music Bank. Although the track originally featured Nana, Electroboyz had chosen the talented Sojin of Girl's day to help with their comeback performance. On August 9, 2013, Sojin lent a helping hand to her Sunbae Deux's return by participating in the upcoming 20th anniversary tribute album. Her participating track, "In the Summer", is a remake of Deux's 1994 hit and features the rap of Zizo, who appeared on Show Me the Money 2'. On October 15, 2013, Girl's Day released the song "Let's Go." It was revealed to be written and composed by Sojin for young adults to get encouraged and to not worry about the future. On November 7, 2013, Sojin lent her voice for the second OST "I Want to Turn Back Time" for Passionate Love. The song "I Want To Turn Back Time" is one that reminisces on past days.[5] On March 2, 2014, Sojin collaborated with hip hop artist Crucial Star on a remake of Park Hye Kyung's song "Three Things I Want to Give You".[6] On July 20, 2014, Sojin, who just made her comeback with the group with “Darling,” is set to soon make her debut on the small screen, with a large role in TV Chosun’s upcoming September drama “The Greatest Marriage” Sojin will be playing the role of Lee Yu Ri, the only child of a rich who has a great social network, a great body, and perfect charms. On July 28, 2014, MBC Music told Newsen that Sojin will be taking the mic for MBC Music’s "Idol School". She will be hosting the show along with broadcaster Jun Hyun Moo and singer Kim Yeon Woo. Idol School aired the first episode on August 19.[8] On October 16, 2014 Girl’s Day’s Sojin has been cast in SBS’s upcoming weekend drama "Here Comes Family!" other drama tittles (Get Out! Family, Family Outing). Sojin will be acting as a bank teller and the younger sister of the protagonist who gets divorced soon after she gets married. The drama is set to air this December. It has been reported on Nov. 26, 2014 that Sojin of Girl’s Day will collaborate with Dok2 for a new single. On December 1, 2014 the song was released online. The R&B style song, titled “Finale”, featured lyrics written by Masta Wu and was produced by DM. The song was meant to capture the dark emotions of men. On January 30, 2015 Girl's Day's Sojin lent her voice for "Dizzy Dizzy" for Part 2 of her starring SBS weekend drama 'The Family Is Coming' (Family Outing) OST. Dizzy is a medium-tempo dance track which expresses the thrill of those falling in love. ​
