HASIL PERTANDINGAN LIGA CHAMPION KEMAREN​

Real Madrid, sukses membantai Lyon dengan skor akhir 4-0.
Kini Madrid bertengger di puncak klasemen grup dengan hasil sempurna dalam tiga pertandingan. Sementara, Lyon melorot ke posisi ketiga akibat kemenangan Ajax Amsterdam di markas Dinamo Zagreb.

Keunggulan Madrid sudah tampak saat pertandingan dimulai. Karim Benzema membuka keunggulan pada menit ke-18 menyambut tendangan penjuru Mesut Ozil yang dibelokkan oleh Cristiano Ronaldo.

Peluang terbaik Lyon membalas kedudukan tercipta ketika Jimmy Briand merebut bola dari penguasaan Marcelo, sayangnya tendangannya melebar. Bafetimbi Gomis sempat menggetarkan jala gawang Iker Casillas, tetapi dianulir karena Gomis sudah berada dalam posisi off-side.

Jelang turun minum, giliran gol Madrid yang dibatalkan karena Xabi Alonso melakukan tendangan bebas cepat. Menganggap Alonso mengabaikan aba-aba, wasit Cuneyt Cakir memberikan kartu kuning.

Meski demikian, gol kedua Madrid segera hadir selepas jeda. Sami Khedira muncul menyambut umpan panjang Benzema dan menggulirkan bola ke pojok kanan gawang. Pertahanan buruk Lyon ikut andil dalam terciptanya gol ini.

Moral bertanding Lyon kian runtuh karna umpan silang Ozil dibelokkan Hugo Lloris ke dalam gawang sendiri. Pada menit ke-81, kemenangan Madrid kian lengkap setelah Sergio Ramos melesakkan tendangan keras dari jarak dekat menyusul sebuah situasi bola mati.

Lyon ganti menjadi tuan rumah Madrid pada pertandingan lanjutan, 2 November mendatang.

Clubs stake their claim to join qualified six​

The UEFA Europa League has the stage to itself on matchday five and there are plenty of issues to be decided as a host of clubs bid to join the six already through to the round of 32.

Sporting Clube de Portugal, RSC Anderlecht, PSV Eindhoven, Legia Warszawa, FC Twente and Athletic Club are already through to the round of 32 but there is plenty more to be decided as the UEFA Europa League takes centre stage on matchday five, with 24 games split over the evenings of 30 November and 1 December.

Anderlecht have been the stars of the group stage so far; they are the only side to have won all four of their games and boast the top scorer, six-goal Matías Suárez, who is on the hunt for more as the Brussels club visit AEK Athens FC, against whom he scored a hat-trick on matchday one.

Three more goals will take Anderlecht's total to 550 in UEFA competition, but, as UEFA.com discovers, there are plenty of other stories to be written in the next batch of games.

Numbers add up for Spurs and PAOK
Lovers of round numbers should keep an eye on Tottenham Hotspur FC's 150th UEFA competition fixture, a home tie against Group A leaders PAOK FC. The Greek side's next goal will be their 150th in UEFA games, while the next one they concede will be the 100th they have let past them in the UEFA Cup and UEFA Europa League.

A hard habit to kick
FC Vorskla Poltava are out of contention for a round of 32 place, but their exciting forward Roman Bezus remains one to watch. Despite being suspended for the Ukrainian side's 3-1 matchday four loss to R. Standard de Liège, the 21-year-old remains the most fouled player in the group stage, having had 16 free-kicks awarded to him in the first three games.

Metalist mayhem
Seemingly incapable of playing anything other than cavalier attacking football, FC Metalist Kharkiv can confirm their progress from Group G against FK Austria Wien. Three more goals will take their all-time UEFA Cup and UEFA Europa League tally to 50, but Karl Daxbacher's men have their own target in sight; two more strikes and they reach 300 in UEFA competition.

Dalmat milestone
Stade Rennais FC must beat Udinese Calcio if they are to go into matchday six with a chance of reaching the round of 32, and the game could represent a milestone for midfielder Stéphane Dalmat − the 32-year-old is in line to make his 50th appearance in a UEFA club competition, having scored twice in his previous 49.

Vaslui's home from home
FC Vaslui continue to hold their own in Europe, thanks in part to a great home record. As they take on S.S. Lazio, they have yet to lose in ten continental home fixtures – no small achievement this season since they are playing their home ties in Piatra Neamt, 100km from their stadium.

Dynamo disheartened
Stoke City FC and FC Dynamo Kyiv have a lot to fight for in Group E, but the statistics seem to be favouring the Potters, who have never lost at home in Europe. The Ukrainian side have yet to win in ten visits to England, and have scored just twice on English soil.

A touch of Klaas
As FC Schalke 04 take on FCV Steaua Bucureşti in Group K, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar will be in the limelight. The Dutch striker could make his 50th club competition appearance, with his record of 28 goals in his previous 49 continental club ties speaking volumes for his ability.

Jol returns
Twente are through, but there will be plenty of interest in Enschede as a Fulham FC team coached by former Twente player Martin Jol come calling in Group K. Co Adriaanse's men are the group stage's 12-goal top scorers, but have never beaten an English team in 12 attempts, and will have to be wary of Andrew Johnson, Fulham's top marksman with five goals.

Dynamo's Popov to miss final group games​

FC Dynamo Kyiv will be without Goran Popov for their two final UEFA Europa League group stage matches as the defender is to undergo surgery to correct a troublesome knee problem.

Defender Goran Popov will miss the remainder of FC Dynamo Kyiv's UEFA Europa League group matches after being advised to undergo surgery to remedy an ongoing knee complaint.

The Macedonian international, who has made 12 league and three UEFA Europa League Group E appearances this season, has been troubled by the injury since the end of October and will travel to Italy for an operation next weekend.

"It's nothing serious, just a damaged meniscus," said the 27-year-old former sc Heerenveen defender. "I had a similar operation two and a half years ago. I will start walking three days after the operation and begin training 15 to 20 days later. It's better to have the operation as soon as possible. That way I'll have time to recover during our one-month vacation and I'll join the team on the first winter camp in January. I can easily prepare for the second half of the season."

Popov will, however, miss his side's visit to Stoke City FC on 1 December and the home encounter against Maccabi Tel-Aviv FC a fortnight later, in addition to the end of the first half of the domestic season. The Ukrainian Premier League leaders sit third in Group E with five points from four games.

Knee injuries hit Höwedes and Farfán​

FC Schalke 04 must almost certainly make do without Benedikt Höwedes and Jefferson Farfán for their remaining UEFA Europa League group matches after both players suffered knee injuries.

FC Schalke 04 will almost certainly be without Jefferson Farfán and Benedikt Höwedes for the remainder of the calendar year after both players suffered similar injuries on international duty.

Farfán partially ruptured ligaments in his left knee during Peru's 2-0 FIFA World Cup qualifying defeat by Ecuador on Tuesday, an injury which is expected to sideline the striker for at least six weeks. The 27-year-old has scored twice in ten Bundesliga appearances this term and featured in all four of his side's UEFA Europa League Group J matches.

In a further blow for the Gelsenkirchen club, captain Höwedes is also likely to miss their next two continental fixtures: at home against FC Steaua București on 1 December and at Maccabi Haifa FC 13 days later. The central defender partially ruptured ligaments in his right knee during Germany's 3-0 friendly success against the Netherlands on Tuesday.

So far there is no estimate for how long Höwedes – ever-present in the Bundesliga this season – will be unavailable. However, the nature of the injury is such that, like Farfán, the 23-year-old is unlikely to return before his side breaks up for the winter a month from today.

Grygera prepared for six-month Fulham absence​

Fulham FC defender Zdeněk Grygera faces a long lay-off with cruciate damage, with his club announcing: "The recovery period for an injury of this nature is approximately six months."

Fulham FC have announced that defender Zdeněk Grygera is likely to be out of action for six months after damaging an anterior cruciate ligament.

The former AC Sparta Praha and AFC Ajax player, who joined Fulham from Juventus in the summer, was taken off midway through his side's 3-1 home defeat by fellow UEFA Europa League contenders Tottenham Hotspur FC on Sunday. The west London club said: "It is estimated that the recovery period for an injury of this nature is approximately six months."

The 31-year-old former Czech international has featured once in his team's group stage campaign and five times in the Premier League. Fulham lie second in Group K and will be certain of progressing to the round of 32 if they win away to section leaders FC Twente on matchday 5.

Daum takes command at Club Brugge​

Christoph Daum has taken charge of UEFA Europa League contenders Club Brugge KV, having won national titles at VfB Stuttgart, Beşiktaş JK, FK Austria Wien and Fenerbahçe SK.

Club Brugge KV have appointed Christoph Daum as their new coach, with the 58-year-old signing a contract until the summer of 2013.

The experienced German trainer replaces Dutchman Adrie Koster who was dismissed on 30 October. Daum takes over with Club Brugge fourth in the Belgian standings and top of UEFA Europa League Group H with seven points going into their matchday five fixture at NK Maribor.

A player for Eintracht Duisburg and 1. FC Köln, Daum started his coaching career with the latter side in 1986 and would return there 20 years later. He won the 1991/92 Bundesliga as VfB Stuttgart boss and the 1994/95 Turkish championship in the first of two mandates at Beşiktaş JK. He later coached Bayer 04 Leverkusen and claimed national titles at FK Austria Wien and Fenerbahçe SK.

Daum has been a free agent since leaving Eintracht in May. He had only taken charge in Frankfurt in March, but could not save the club from relegation.

Daum is not the only newcomer at Club Brugge. They have also brought in 29-year-old goalkeeper Bojan Jorgačević from KAA Gent for an undisclosed fee. Capped seven times by Serbia, Jorgačević has been signed outside the transfer window to cover for the long-term injured third-choice custodian Sven Dhoest.

"Obviously it is not normal to move from Gent to Club Brugge in the middle of the season," said Jorgačević, who has agreed a deal until 2016. "Gent and their fans will always be in my heart, but from today I am a Club Brugge player and will give my heart and soul to my new club. That is how I am."
