    Maeda Atsuko is a Japanese idol singer. She is a former member of AKB48's 'Team A'. Atsuko has consistently been at the group's forefront - earning her the title of "The Face of AKB48" - having had a lead singing role in every single till her graduation. On March 25, 2012, Maeda announced that she would be graduating from AKB48. She graduated on August 27, 2012, at the AKB48 Theater.

    Acting Career
    In 2007, Maeda played a supporting role in the film Ashita no Watashi no Tsukurikata, which was her debut as an actress. She starred in the 2011 film Moshidora and appeared in Nobuhiro Yamashita's 2012 film Kueki Ressha. She also starred in Hideo Nakata's 2013 horror film The Complex.

    In 2013, Maeda starred in a series of 30-second station ID videos for Music On! TV where she played Tamako, a Tokyo university graduate who does not find a job and lives at home where she just eats and sleeps, over the course of the four seasons. This became a TV drama special, and has been developed into a full-fledged film, Tamako in Moratorium, the last of which is planned for a theater release in November 2013.

    Maeda starred in the film Seventh Code where she plays a Japanese woman in Russia who is trying to track down a guy she previously met. The film was shown at the Rome Film Festival in November 2013, and will be released for a short theater run in January 2014.

    Setelah graduate dari AKB, makin sering main film ya si Acchan ini. Dan makin kesini makin kelihatan dewasa,
    beda banget ama zaman2 dia masih rambut cepak lompat2 di AKB, hehehe

    hampir 3 tahun sejak grad acchan udah banyak juga main film.
    karirnya masih moncer ternyata..

    tapi belum ada film yang bener-bener bagus.
    bertahan nonton cuma karena ada acchan nya doang..

    It was announced Japanese famous actress Miyazawa Rie (宮沢りえ) will be starring WOWOW drama "Gou Gou Datte Neko Dearu 2", and former AKB48 member Maeda Atsuko (前田敦子) will be co-starring, the drama will be released in June 2016

    In the drama "Gou Gou Datte Neko Dearu 2 - good good the fortune cat -" (グーグーだって猫である2 -good good the fortune cat-), Miyazawa Rie and Maeda Atsuko will cast manga artist's assistants, it is the second time co-operation after TBS special drama "Leaders" (2014)

    The drama is based on the semi-autobiographical manga "Gu Gu Datte Neko de Aru" by Oshima Yumiko (first published November 1996 in Manga Magazine YOUNG ROSÉ), it was adapted into drama "Gou Gou Datte Neko Dearu (2008) and Gou Gou Datte Neko de Aru (2014)
