    FC Bayern München vs Napoli
    RABU, 2 NOVEMBER 2011 JAM 19.45
    =================================================

Dia pun mengaku ingin mengakhiri kariernya bersama Die Roten.
Tak puas hanya memimpin klasemen Bundesliga, The Bavarians juga mampu tengah memimpin Grup A Liga Champions musim ini.

Sektor sayap bukanlah posisiku sebenarnya. Tapi pelatih malah melihatku sebagai seorang pemain sayap," keluh Olic.

Bastian Schweinsteiger and Mario Gomez are pals off the field, and a dream duo on it, as they proved with Bastian’s superb right-wing cross and Mario’s headed goal just 88 seconds into Saturday's meeting with Nürnberg. “They combined brilliantly," said Christian Nerlinger, although the goal was a touch unusual in one respect, as Schweinsteiger long ago came inside to the centre of midfield after starting his career out on the flank.

The Germany international’s sudden reappearance on the wing certainly took the men from Nuremberg by surprise. However, Gomez was expecting it: “Before the match, Basti said to me: if I pop up on the flank – like I used to – just go to the near or far post, and I'll stick it on your head," the striker grinned. “We had to laugh about it afterwards," Mario continued. The club's leading scorer thanked his mate not long afterwards with a perfect lay-off for Schweinsteiger's shot to make the score 2-0.

The German international pair are key figures in the current FCB side. Gomez is now up to 50 goals for the club, and already has 12 league goals this term, as many as he scored before Christmas in the previous campaign, which he ended as top scorer on 28 goals. The match against Bavarian neighbours Nürnberg was special for the 25-year-old in another respect, as he scored with his head for the first time this term.

As for Schweinsteiger, he is in the form of his life, with superb midfield vision, accurate distribution and real bite in his tackling. On top of that, he has started scoring: his strike against Nürnberg was his second in a row in Bundesliga home matches. “He’s the leader of the team and a real authority figure," Jupp Heynckes enthused afterwards.

    Excellent atmosphere

“He's extremely important," the coach continued, “he's increasingly showing his exceptional class." Heynckes has even compared his midfield dynamo with Spanish World Cup winners Xavi and Andres Iniesta, as the Bayern man's consistency and form certainly bear comparison with the Barcelona superstars at present.

One reason for FCB's tremendous run must surely be that neither Schweinsteiger nor Gomez seeks the media spotlight. Both men deflect questions about their individual performances by praising the team or another player. As Gomez said: “The coach is doing sensationally well. He's kept all the players on board, which is very, very important. There’s a great atmosphere in the dressing room."

    Top pair advise caution

However, both stars are experienced enough to know that praise one week can turn to vicious criticism the next. “If we get unlucky or don't play to our potential, it can all head off in a different direction," said Gomez. For his part, Schweinsteiger warned of a “very long season. We mustn't be blinded by what people are writing." Mario and Bastian make a dream duo, both on and off the field.

Bayern are on a roll after a superb first third of the 2011/12 campaign, with tremendous results in the Bundesliga, DFB Cup and Champions League. Classy 21-year-old schemer Toni Kroos has been a revelation so far with exceptional vision and shows of technical skill. The Germany international talked to fcbayern.de about his progress as a player, and the midweek clash with Napoli.

    Interview: Toni Kroos

fcbayern.de: Toni, Bayern have won their last eight home matches, scoring 33 goals without reply. Are you enjoying your football more than ever before?
Toni Kroos: I always enjoy playing, but obviously, it's even better when things are going your way. We're winning most of our matches, and playing excellent football too. Everyone at the club's enjoying that, not just the players, but also everyone who gets to watch.

It looks easy right now, especially at the Allianz Arena…
But it's not, it's the result of a lot more work than you might think. It's because we don't let our opponents get going. We're always fired up for every match, and we're frequently scoring an early goal at the moment. That's why it's been easier recently, especially at home, and that's why we're seeing some big wins.

Talking of early goals, you started really well against Hertha Berlin with a fifth-minute opener, and scored in the second minute away to Napoli and at home to Nürnberg. What's the secret behind these perfect starts?
We aim to show our opponents straight away that they'll be taking nothing from the game. Obviously, you need a little luck for the very first chance to go in. But once we are in the lead, it's easier to impose our authority on a match. Our opponents have to come at us eventually, and that opens up lots of space.

You were 3–0 up after just 39 minutes against Nürnberg, and some of the FCN players spoke afterwards about being played off the park. How difficult is it to stay focused for the full 90 minutes when you're dominating a match to that extent?
It's not difficult at all. We always want the ball, and we let it do the work. That means you don't have to invest as much energy. We always concentrate right to the very end.

You're now a third of the way into the Bundesliga season and you’re four points clear of second-placed Schalke. How would you assess the campaign so far?
Before it starts, you can never be entirely sure how it's going to go, but with the exception of the defeat to Gladbach, we can be very satisfied. It's the good start we were hoping for.

It's also been a good season so far for you personally – you've started nine of the 11 Bundesliga fixtures, and all three matches in the Champions League.
It's going really well. I'm playing at a consistently high level, although I'm still only 21, and I can certainly improve in every respect. It's a win–win situation, if you like. The coach has put his faith in me, and I'm repaying him with good performances. I've also scored a couple of important goals in the Champions League.

However, you've only scored once in 56 Bundesliga appearances for Bayern. How do you explain that?
To begin with, in the first 25 matches or so, I tended to come on as a sub. And I was in the much more defensive holding role last season, so that’s two reasons. But I'm sure I'll score a few more goals in the future, although I'll always regard myself primarily as a provider.

Some of your team-mates were rested for the cup meeting with Ingolstadt last week, but not you. Aren't you tired after such a busy schedule?
I did talk to the boss about it before the cup match, but neither of us thought it would be a problem. I'm feeling good, and I need plenty of match practice. Obviously, playing every three days is very demanding, but no-one can be exhausted at this early stage of the season, and we're dealing with the burden very well.

You now face an exceptionally important Champions League meeting with Napoli. The game in Italy ended in a 1–1 draw, so what are you expecting on Wednesday?
Napoli are a big and strong club, very hard to play against, full of running and fighting spirit. They also use a system we don't come across in the Bundesliga, so you have to adapt. We were okay in the first match, but there were things we could have done much better. That's the task on Wednesday.

Would a win more or less settle the outcome in the group?
We'd be as good as through with 10 points, as we’d have improved upon our already good going-in position, so that’s obviously the target.

    Schweinsteiger and Van Buyten fit

“We need to start the match at full speed," Heynckes continued. With the exception of Arjen Robben and Breno, the boss picks his team from a full squad. Bastian Schweinsteiger (calf) and Daniel van Buyten (foot) are still carrying “minor injuries," Heynckes reported, “but I think both will be fit to start."

Bayern go into the match on the back of a superb run of eight home wins on the bounce, featuring 33 goals scored and none conceded. “We're still hungry," promised Kroos. “We intend to show them who's boss right from the start," declared Lahm, although chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge sounded a slight note of caution: “There's a hint of do-or-die about the match. We'll have to give it everything we’ve got."

Mario Gomez menjadi pahlawan kemenangan Bayern lewat hat-trick.

1-0 Bayern memimpin.

Sundulan Federico Fernández memanfaatkan assist Lavezzi tak mampu dihalau Manuel Neuer.

Babak pertama berakhir 3-1 untuk keunggulan Bayern.

Di babak kedua, Bayern membuka peluang melalui Gomez di menit ke-56. Tapi, sundulannya memanfaatkan umpan silang Thomas Muller masih berhasil diselamatkan De Sanctis.

Hingga peluit panjang berbunyi, Bayern berhasil mempertahankan keunggulan 3-2 atas Napoli.

    Susunan Pemain

Bayern Munich: Manuel Neuer, Jerome Boateng, Daniel Van Buyten, Holger Badstuber, Philipp Lahm, Luiz Gustavo Dias, Bastian Schweinsteiger (Anatoliy Tymoschuck 53'), Thomas Muller, Franck Ribery (David Alaba 80'), Toni Kroos, Mario Gomez

Napoli: Morgan De Sanctis, Hugo Armando Campagnaro, Federico Fernandez, Salvatore Aronica (Andrea Dossena 42'), Christian Maggio, Blerim Dzemaili (Goran Pandev 84'), Gokhan Inler, Juan Zuniga, Marek Hamsik, Ezequiel Lavezzi, Edinson Cavani
    Kenapa Olic tidak ditampilkan ya?
Bastian Schweinsteiger will be sidelined for four to six weeks after breaking a collar bone in Bayern’s 3-2 home victory over Napoli on Wednesday evening. The serious injury to the club vice-captain means FCB have paid a heavy price for their third Champions League victory in four Group A fixtures and their first-ever win against the men from Naples.

The 27-year-old Germany star sustained the injury in the 50th minute of Wednesday’s match after landing awkwardly following a hefty aerial challenge from Napoli’s Swiss international midfielder Gökhan Inler. Schweinsteiger was carried from the field on a stretcher and taken directly to a Munich hospital, where the initial diagnosis was confirmed.

“That hurts us a lot. He’s our playmaker,“ FCB chairman Karl Heinz Rummenigge commented shortly after the final whistle at the Allianz Arena.

Holger Badstuber, who was sent off after collecting a second yellow card on 77 minutes, will definitely be suspended for the Bundesliga leaders’ next Group A fixture at home to tail-enders Villarreal on 22 November.

    MINGGU, 6 NOVEMBER 2011
    =================================================
The normal routine prior to an away fixture sees the FCB stars bussed to Munich airport for a flight to Italy, Spain, England or a destination elsewhere in Germany. Not so on Saturday evening, as there is no need to fly for the shortest away trip in the decade since Unterhaching’s relegation. Bayern will cover the 70 km to Augsburg on the team bus, ready for Sunday’s Bundesliga derby.

It is the first-ever top flight meeting between Augsburg and Bayern, and there is a hint of David versus Goliath about the match: the bottom club against the leaders, Bundesliga newcomers versus the most successful team in the country, the league’s worst attack against its best. Bayern are of course overwhelming favourites – and that is the danger, Jupp Heynckes warned: “It's the biggest game of the season for Augsburg, the stadium is sold out. We still have 90 minutes to play.”

Four days after the 3-2 Champions League victory over Napoli, the 66-year-old called for another “top performance” from his team, to ensure there is no shock outcome. Heynckes was not the only official expressing wariness about Augsburg, who drew 1-1 with Werder Bremen in their last home match, but have yet to win at the SGL arena this term. “Careful! It’ll be a very tough match,” warned club president Uli Hoeneß in midweek.

Three points on Sunday would be most welcome at FCB, as Heynckes said it would ensure “lots of peace and quiet” during the two-week international break. Following Saturday’s matches, Dortmund, Bremen and Gladbach all moved to within two points of Bayern, and Schalke could go just a point behind if they win in Hannover on Sunday afternoon. Munich can restore at least a four-point lead with a win away to FCA, “and we must win, to cement our position in the Bundesliga,” urged Christian Nerlinger.

    Schweinsteiger, Robben and Breno sidelined

Bastian Schweinsteiger will be unable to assist the team effort, as he is out of action until the new year following surgery to repair a broken collarbone. Arjen Robben and Breno are also still absent, but Heynckes will otherwise field a full-strength side. Nevertheless, memories of almost letting a 3-0 lead against Napoli in midweek are still fresh.

“Not everything always goes according to plan, as we saw on Wednesday. We must avoid errors,” said Heynckes, although the boss is convinced his men will not underestimate Augsburg. To that end, Saturday’s training session was followed by a video analysis of Sunday’s opponents. “We’re ready for them,” Heynckes said.

    Depleted FCA

It has not escaped Bayern’s notice that FCA boss Jos Luhukay has lost a few key players for the match, including Axel Bellinghausen (knee), skipper Uwe Möhrle (groin) and Torsten Oehrl (suspended). To add to Luhukay’s problems, veteran keeper Simon Jentzsch underwent surgery on a broken finger last Friday, leaving youth product Mohamed Amsif poised for his Bundesliga debut between the sticks.

“But we’re not complaining or cursing our luck. We just have to find solutions to our problems. We know an average performance simply won’t be enough,” Luhukay stated. Heynckes reckoned the absence of 35-year-old Jentzsch was “a huge loss” for Augsburg, although he noted a long history of stand-in keepers turning in stunning displays. “I hope it won’t happen on Sunday,” the FCB supremo said.

    Fight in prospect

From a betting point of view, there can only be one possible outcome when Augsburg meet Bayern, but there is a lot of work to do before FCB can add three more points to their total for the season so far. “Augsburg won’t run up the white flag before kick-off, they’ll fight until they drop,” Heynckes advised. Mario Gomez called for total focus from the team: “If we keep our concentration, we’ll win the match.”
Masih tanpa Schweni, Robben dan Breno, semoga Gomez tetap on fire.

"Dia sedang masa pemulihan.

Bayern extended their lead in the Bundesliga to five points on Sunday, although FCB made heavy weather of it at times against promoted Bavarian neighbours Augsburg. The league’s bottom club proved gutsy opponents, but Jupp Heynckes’ side, who looked reasonably at ease in their first game without long-term injury victim Bastian Schweinsteiger, ultimately had enough of an edge in class to seal the points.

The 30,660 full house at the SGL Arena saw Mario Gomez head Munich in front after an evenly-matched opening quarter of an hour, before Franck Ribery doubled the advantage on 28 minutes. The leaders did no more than was necessary for a while against limited but game opponents, and were punished for a momentary lapse when Japan international Hajime Hosogai pulled one back on the hour.

Bayern were never as comfortable from then on, and Manuel Neuer made a stunning one-on-one stop from sub Edmond Kapllani to rescue the three points in the closing stages, which also saw Anatoliy Tymoshchuk harshly red-carded for a foul on Daniel Baier.

The result takes FCB up to 28 points from 12 matches, five points clear of a chasing pack comprising Dortmund, Bremen and Mönchengladbach, with Schalke a further point adrift after a draw with Hannover earlier in the day. The league now takes a two-week break, before the Bavarians return to the fray on Saturday 19 November in the mouth-watering showdown at home to champions Dortmund.

Heynckes made three changes to the side which battled to a 3-2 Champions League victory over Napoli in midweek, two of them enforced. With Schweinsteiger out until the winter break after breaking a collarbone, the boss turned to David Alaba in central midfield alongside Tymoshchuk, preferred on the day to Luiz Gustavo.

Rafinha also returned to the side at right-back in place of the suspended Jerome Boateng, with Holger Badstuber, Daniel van Buyten, and captain Philipp Lahm completing the back four. Ribery and Thomas Müller took up station on the left and right respectively, with Toni Kroos, considered a candidate to deputise for Schweinsteiger in the build-up to the match, operating as normal in the hole behind lone striker Gomez.

For the underdogs, boss Jos Luhukay was forced to hand a top-flight debut to former Schalke youth keeper Mohamed Amsif, standing in for injured veteran Simon Jentzsch, with captain Uwe Möhrle (hamstring) and midfield schemer Axel Bellinghausen (knee op) also sidelined, although the line-up did include Lorenzo Davids, cousin of Dutch former superstar Edgar.

Once referee Felix Zwayer whistled play underway, the sides both started energetically, with Gomez and Müller trying their luck early on, and FCA centre-forward Sascha Mölders whistling a shot wide of Neuer’s left post after Tymoshchuk lost possession in his own area.

The minnows gave as good as they got until Bayern’s first corner, which produced the opening goal on 16 minutes: Amsif blocked Van Buyten’s near-post flick from Ribery’s teasing delivery, but Gomez was on hand to nod home the rebound.

The visitors sought to press home their advantage and swarmed round the FCA box, Gomez twice coming up just short with half-chances, but 28 minutes had been played before Ribery made it two, controlling Müller’s pass into the box, twisting outside Dominik Reinhardt and rifling a shot across Amsif and in at the far corner.

The FCA keeper, who used to train with Neuer as a junior pro with the Royal Blues, got down well to Müller’s low drive, but was relieved to see the excellent Gomez’s cross-shot fly away to safety. Baier loosed one off from long range and Mölders’ acrobatic effort flew well wide as FCB wound down to the break with their two-goal lead safely intact.

Immediately after the restart, Ribery and Müller both had decent shouts for a penalty waved away and Kroos smacked a near-post shot wide, but FCA hauled themselves back into it and Badstuber hurled his body in the way of a dangerous Tobias Werner drive. From the ensuing corner, Hosogai pulled one back after FCB failed to clear their lines, the Japan winger’s shot crossing the line before Alaba could hack clear.

Werner, Reinhardt and Baier all let fly as FCA enjoyed their best phase of the game, before Heynckes opted to shore up the rearguard by sending on Gustavo for Rafinha, Tymoshchuk switching to the unfamiliar right-back role. Kroos belted a shot over the bar, but there was real bite in the home side’s tackling now and the men in red struggled to put together their passes.

Lahm cut in from the left but aimed his shot wide, before Neuer was forced into a superb save from sub Kapllani as the Albania international raced clean through on goal just eight minutes from time. Diego Contento and Danijel Pranjic took over from Kroos and Ribery at the end, and a streaker hared across the field for good measure, as FCB held out for a hard-earned point despite losing Tymoshchuk to a stoppage-time red card.

It was a close-run thing at the end, but a combination of skill and control in the first half and gritty resistance in the second earned Bayern a tight 2-1 derby victory over Augsburg, taking FCB five points clear at the top of the Bundesliga. “It was the match I warned us to expect,” said Jupp Heynckes. “We didn’t have our normal authority today, but we’ve still come away with all three points,” reflected Toni Kroos.

    Reaction to Augsburg v Bayern:

Jupp Heynckes: “It was the match we expected, and which I warned us to expect beforehand. There are no easy games, as we saw especially in the second half. We started well and deservedly took the lead. There was a spell when we could have settled it with a third goal, but as it was, it was really tight by the end, because Augsburg didn’t just fight till they dropped, they also played some really good football at times."

Toni Kroos: “I think we played well in the first half, we looked relatively comfortable, and we scored the two goals. We weren’t as determined in the second half, we didn’t look as confident on the ball, and that’ll always bring any opposing team back into the game. Our aim is to be a lot more comfortable during matches than that. We didn’t have our normal authority today, but we’ve still come away with all three points.”

Following the packed autumn programme with seven games in 23 days in three competitions, boss Jupp Heynckes has awarded his men Tuesday and Wednesday off, so the Säbener Strasse facility is much quieter than normal at present. However, there is no rest for more than half the senior squad, as we are now into the last international break of the calendar year.

The busy programme in Europe features a handful of head-to-head duels between Bayern team-mates. fcbayern.de reviews the schedule which sees a total of 13 FCB stars taking to the field in locations ranging from Kyiv to Doha.

Germany boss Joachim Löw has called up six Bayern men for two friendly matches in the coming week. Holger Badstuber, Jerome Boateng, Toni Kroos, Thomas Müller and Mario Gomez will all feature in Friday's meeting with Anatoliy Tymoshchuk and Ukraine in Kyiv.

    Ribéry versus Van Buyten

Four days later, the Germans take on the Netherlands in Hamburg, with Manuel Neuer also joining up with the national squad for the match. Captain Philipp Lahm is rested on this occasion, while Bastian Schweinsteiger is out with a fractured collarbone. As for Tymoshchuk, he and his Ukraine side play again on Tuesday in Lviv, where the opponents are Austria and Tymo's FCB colleague David Alaba.

Elsewhere, Franck Ribéry returns to the France squad after missing out last time with injury. The French entertain the USA, now coached by former Bayern boss Juergen Klinsmann, on 11 November in Paris, while Ribéry and Co play again four days later on the same ground when the opponents are Belgium and Franck's pal Daniel van Buyten. The Red Devils’ first match of the international break is the previous Friday against Romania in Liège.

    Do-or-die for Croats

In stark contrast to their fellow FCB stars in friendly match action, Friday and Tuesday's matches are deadly serious for Croatia pair Ivica Olic and Danijel Pranjic, who go in search of one of the four remaining places at Euro 2012. Croatia's play-off opponents are Turkey, who feature Ivica and Danijel’s former club colleague Hamit Altintop. The first leg takes place in Istanbul, with the return four days later in Zagreb. The aggregate winners go through to next summer's finals in Poland and Ukraine.

Finally, Luiz Gustavo will play just once for Brazil. The five-time world champions travel to Libreville for a meeting with Gabon next Thursday, but Gustavo is not in the Selecao squad for that match. However, the Munich man is set to feature in the meeting with Egypt four days later when the venue is Doha.

Bayern fans everywhere will be hoping all the stars return fit and healthy from international duty, ready for the Bundesliga showdown with Borussia Dortmund, and the forthcoming challenges in the league, Champions League and DFB Cup in the period up to the winter break.

Pun demikian, kembalinya Robben tetap disambut antusias para pemain Bayern.

There were seven minutes to go at the SGL Arena in Augsburg on Sunday afternoon, and although Bayern led 2–1, the home side were going flat out and threatening to equalise. FCA schemer Daniel Baier split the FCB defence with a slide rule pass, leaving sub Edmond Kapllani free in front of goal. The striker seemed certain to score, but Manuel Neuer threw out his right hand to pull off a magnificent save.

“It would have ended 2–2 without Manuel," acknowledged boss Jupp Heynckes, “the save he made was world-class. That's why we signed him." Director of sport Christian Nerlinger joined in the chorus of praise: “We have Manuel Neuer to thank for the victory. He protected the win with a world-class save." Club president Uli Hoeneß was typically more down-to-earth: “He did his job."

Even as Kapllani bore down on goal, Neuer stood his ground, forcing the striker to make the first move. “You do these things automatically, and it's something you can learn to a certain extent, although you never know what the striker’s going to do," Neuer commented afterwards, “I tried to stretch my arm, and it worked for me, although I also had a bit of luck in that situation."

The keeper’s brilliance is even more commendable given that he had so little to do before that moment. Augsburg directed precisely two shots on target all afternoon, Hajime Hosogai’s 59th-minute equaliser, and Kapllani’s shot in the closing stages. “It's not easy when you've not had much to do beforehand but then have to deal with such a huge chance. Stopping the ball was what mattered," Manuel reflected.

    Praise from all sides

“We know he's the best," declared Mario Gomez. “I think a lot of people are unaware how important he is even in matches where he has nothing to do. He radiates calmness and organises his defence from the back. He had a chance to show what he can do today, as everyone saw, but he's been vital for us all season."

The FCB camp was not alone in praising the 25-year-old afterwards. “He's definitely improved since joining Bayern. He's become more consistent, and also more mature, because he's sensed that there’s much more pressure," stated former Germany keeper Jens Lehmann on Sky TV. “He has huge potential, and there's no way he's the finished product yet. He'll be even better in five or six years."
