Leaks accurate, this is what the new iPhone will look like






iMore has learned that recent parts leaks and dummy phones are accurate representations of what the new iPhone (iPhone 5,1) will look like when Apple announces it on September 12, 2012. Almost identical in design to the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S, the major visible differences will include a 4-inch display with a 16:9 aspect ratio, a metallic plate across most the back, and a miniaturized Dock connector and relocated 3.5mm headset jack along the bottom.

Apple originally prototyped a 3.5-inch and at least one 4-inch designs for the 2012 iPhone. iLounge accurately reported on one of the 4-inch prototypes back in May. iMore also learned that Apple would decide which prototype to go with sometime in July, and on July 17, the Wall Street Journal reported Apple had begun manufacturing. On July 30, iMore learned Apple had settled on September 12, 2012 for the iPhone 5 announcement event, which has since been confirmed by Apple. iMore has also reported that September 21 will be the U.S. iPhone launch day, with the second wave of launches currently scheduled for on or around October 5.

This information comes from sources who have been reliable in the past. While nothing is confirmed until Apple shows it off on stage, based on the parts, dummies, and other reports, it seems highly probable.

There's too much to cover, so we'll sum up. On February 23, 2012, iMore learned Apple would be miniaturizing the Dock connector for the iPhone 5. On March 23, iMore learned Apple would be including LTE networking in the iPhone 5, as they had the new iPad. On May 11, iMore learned Apple would be trying to remove Google from the iPhone and iOS. On May 29, 9to5Mac posted images of the new, unibody back casing for the iPhone 5. On July 29 and July 30, many of the leaked parts that had been floating around were assembled and shown off in stills and on video.

A fully assembled iPhone 5 chassis was caught on camera on August 31, and a dummy unit, representing near-final hardware, was caught on video at IFA 2012 on September 1.

Conspiracy theories have been floated suggesting Apple is deliberately leaking false parts or a discarded prototype to create a bigger surprise come September 12. If that's the case, they're spending a lot of time, effort, and money, and doing it at an incredible scale. While Apple has over $100 billion in the bank and could do almost anything they want, they don't have any more time than anyone else, and it seems doubtful they'd waste what precious time they do have on on practical joke when there's so much for them still to do on the real product.

Just like last year when we tried to help set expectations before the iPhone 4S event, to the best of our knowledge everyone would be best served going into the September 12 event with their expectations set on the iPhone 5 you see above, and have seen leaked to date.

If anyone doesn't believe Apple would use a similar design to the 2010 iPhone 4 and the 2011 iPhone 4S, go back and look at the 2005 Project Purple prototype. Consider that Apple's current platonic ideal for how their phone should look and be built.

The iPhone design isn't fashion. Jonathan Ive has said repeatedly, it's function. It's iconic. It's a piece of industrial design rooted in Braun and Leica and Dieter Rams that could sit on any museum shelf. It's some of the best manufacturing ever seen in mobile, and it looks as good today as it did in 2005 and in 2010, and as any phone currently on the market. Apple isn't concerned with making the newest looking phone. They're concerned only with making the best phone.

Add a larger screen and a metal back, and shave off a few micro-milimeters from the existing iPhone design, and it would be hard to argue that's not just exactly what they're doing with the iPhone 5.

We'll find out for sure in one week's time.​

 

FBI denies claims of Apple ID hack





The FBI on Tuesday said there is "no evidence" to support claims by a hackers group that they accessed information about millions of Apple users on a bureau computer.

The hackers have posted online what they claim are the IDs of more than 1 million iPhones and iPads. And they say that's just part of the more than 12 million IDs -- and other information such as users' names, cell phone numbers and billing addresses -- they got from the laptop of an FBI agent.

The release, if authentic, sparked a flurry of headlines Tuesday and raised questions about both FBI security and why the bureau would have collected that information about people in the first place.

Antisec, a politically minded branch of the hacker collective Anonymous, posted the ID numbers on Monday. If cross-referenced with info available to Apple developers, they could theoretically help someone find more specific details about the device's owner.

The post claimed that hackers exploited a vulnerability in the programming language Java on the computer of Special Agent Christopher K. Stangl, who specializes in cybersecurity.

The FBI responded Tuesday afternoon.

"The FBI is aware of published reports alleging that an FBI laptop was compromised and private data regarding Apple UDIDs (unique device IDs) was exposed," according to an FBI spokesperson. "At this time there is no evidence indicating that an FBI laptop was compromised or that the FBI either sought or obtained this data."

As of Tuesday afternoon, there had been no independent verification that the IDs came from an FBI computer. Apple did not respond to a request for comment.

"We don't have any way of confirming the source of the data, or what else might have been taken, but it does appear that the files do contain at least some genuine Apple UDIDs," said Graham Cluley, a senior tech consultant at Sophos Security. "Certainly things would be worse if the personal info was also released. But at the moment it feels as if the hackers might be more interested in embarrassing the FBI and causing mischief than putting innocent users at risk."

Because of the secretive nature of what they do, as well as the lack of any official organizational structure, no official spokesperson for Antisec or Anonymous came forward to take credit for the hack.

But Monday's post on document-sharing site Pastebin refers readers to a Twitter feed considered a reliable source of Anonymous information. On it, the user, or users, took credit for the post.

"Pleased to see, media actually asking the right question: Why the hell does an FBI agent have a database with 12M Apple UDID on his laptop?" read one tweet Tuesday.

The group claimed the document had been viewed 370,000 times in less than 24 hours.

In the document, the hackers criticize a government they claim uses hackers internally while actively prosecuting private citizens who do the same things for their own purposes. The group also includes messages of support for alleged hackers being prosecuted, such as Wikileaks founder Julian Assange as well as for ***** Riot, the punk rock protesters jailed in Russia for a stunt criticizing President Vladimir Putin.

In their typical gonzo style, the Anonymous hackers' post combined a political credo with offbeat antics. Among them: an offer to grant interviews about their hack if Adrian Chen, a Gawker reporter who has written about Anonymous, is portrayed on the main page of Gawker for a full day wearing a ballet tutu and a shoe on his head. ("Put Shoe on Head" is an Internet meme that originated on 4chan, a home base of sorts for many who claim allegiance to Anonymous).

For his part, Chen actually seemed to be pondering the offer, if highly skeptical.

"How can I be sure Anonymous will hold up their part of the deal? Shadowy outlaw hacker groups are not known for their integrity," he wrote Tuesday. "I'm currently trying to gain certain assurances. Stay tuned for tutu-age.​

 

iPhone 5 reportedly leaks out of Foxconn plant, gets caught on video





As we approach the big event next Wednesday, leaks related to Apple’s next iPhone are multiplying with each passing day. Just a few minutes ago, a new report went online claiming that someone in China has been able to get their hands on an actual iPhone 5 unit. They made quite a believable video to prove it and it looks legit.

Best of all, the clip shows a white device with a taller display booting next to an iPhone 4S, giving us a good indication of the increased speed of the iPhone 5, courtesy of its rehashed, low-power dual-core variant of the A5 chip, souped up with 1GB of RAM. The source apparently “accidentally” discovered an iPhone 5 prototype at the Jincheng facility and was able to take a few quick snaps, here’s one.

s you can see, the device cannot be activated because, as iOS says, “it is not registered as part of the iPhone Developer Program”.

By the way, Foxconn’s Jincheng plant that reportedly leaked the device is located in China’s northern Shanxi province and is thought to be the largest factory on the planet and the world’s largest precision manufacturing base.

Quite a place to make Apple’s cutting-edge handset, if you ask me.

Apple Tops JD's Smartphone Satisfaction Survey Once Again





For the eighth time in a row, Apple is ranked with the highest customer satisfaction. The iPhone received 849 points out of 1,000, according to J.D. Powers and Associates. HTC ranked second with 790 points and Samsung earned 782 points, below the 783-point survey average.

The iPhone “performs well in all factors, particularly in physical design and ease of operation,” the ratings firm announced Thursday. The company measured smartphones for performance, physical design, features and ease of operation.

Motorola and Nokia rounded out the top-five smartphones, garnering 777 and 763 points respectively. RIM scored just 740 points, while HP ranked last. LG topped the list of traditional, or “feature” cell phones.

The 2012 Wireless Smartphone Customer Satisfaction Study also declared that Twitter, Facebook and other social media applications “play a critical role in overall smartphone satisfaction.”

Users of mobile gaming and social-networking apps both give smartphones higher satisfaction ratings and spend more money with carriers. Smartphone owners who use social-networking apps have a satisfaction rating of 810, 55 points higher than smartphone users that do not have social-networking apps, the survey found. Additionally, smartphone owners with social-networking apps spend 100 minutes more per week than smartphone owners that don’t use mobile social media.

Mobile gaming follows the same path of high usage, better satisfaction. Smartphone owners who have a mobile game, rank their handset 61 points higher than among smartphone owners that don’t use gaming apps. Smartphone owners with gaming apps spend 81 minutes a week blasting aliens or smashing pigs into buildings.

“As the capabilities of wireless phones and their applications continue to expand, allowing customers to more often use their device, handset manufacturers have an opportunity to shape the customer experience and impact satisfaction with better application integration and social networking options,” said Uma Jha, senior director of mobile operations at J.D. Powers.

The survey also gave makers of smartphones other advice: price matters and malfunctioning phones can seriously hurt customer satisfaction. Price is now the driving force with nearly a quarter of smartphone shoppers.

The survey found 19 percent of customers say price was their primary reason for buying the smartphone they now own. That’s up from 14 percent in 2011. While price is gaining priority, a smartphone’s features aren’t as important to customers as previously. The survey found 47 percent of customers were interested in smartphone features, down from 57 percent a year ago.

Although the percent of free smartphones inched up to 22 percent from 18 percent, more than 40 percent of traditional mobile phones are free. Carriers looking to entice more buyers have pushed the average price of a traditional cell phone to $56, down from $66 a year ago.

But perhaps most telling is how important it is for smartphone makers to sell a device that works. Almost 20 percent of smartphone owners say they experience software or hardware malfunctions. That frustration can chop 90 points from overall customer satisfaction.

And pity the smartphone maker producing phones that crash. The survey found owners of smartphones with software that crashes at least once per week give an average rating of 663 out of 1,000.

kalau selebihnya d buat itu ane ga tau.. kalau ane maen game berat itu cukup tutup semua app yg jalan di SBSetting.

spotlight search itu kalau agan ada di home screen agan geser ke kanan nnti bakal muncul window buat search gt.. nah agan bisa ketik apa yg bakal agan cari..
misal.. agan pengen nyari pesan dari siapa gt,,, tpi agan inget nya cman kata2 yg ada di isi sms itu.. agan search lewat spotlight search.. nnti akan otomatis nampilin pesan dengan keyword yg agan masukin gt... kalau di windows itu kayak fitur search di pojok atas window... kalau itu agan centang semua maka.. spotlight akan men search d semua direktori yg agan centang
