The gateway to the Netherworld has fractured, and this fracture may soon grow into a gap now that Nefer has recovered the Sword of Hermes.

Not long ago, when the great hero Acharon united Glenheim out of chaos and forced Nefer to retreat, Glenheim seemed safe.

But now our nightmare has returned...

Long ago, the Sword of Hermes was hidden away on Henko Island where, and over time, Rahkdan, the Lord of Destruction, managed to transform Nefer’s thirst for it into corrupted ambition.

Soon after that, Akene protected humankind during the first of the two Genesis Wars as Rahkdan sought to open the Nethergate and welcome his followers into this world.

Eventually, Rahkdan fell to Akene’s spear and was sealed away, but his sword and traces of his

black rocks still remain scattered across the land.

Rahkdan’s death brought an end to the Genesis War, but humans and monsters began to fight each other to secure new territory. Over time, they forgot about the Sword of Hermes and the black rocks, but the desire still burned deep within Nefer’s heart.

Now, Nefer has recovered the sword and is using its power to destroy the seal protecting the Nethergate. He wishes to release Rahkdan’s followers so that they may once again unleash fury upon the world.

Fortunately, the Ninth Continent, where the Gate stands, is protected by legions of elves and powerful magicians. Nevertheless, even our strongest warriors may still not be able to halt Nefer’s onslaught…

It is up to you to prove your worth as a hero. You must hasten to the Ninth Continent and halt Nefer’s advance, before it is too late.

Profession & Classes

FIGHTER

Fighters are melee warriors who use various weapons and shields to attack and bash their enemies. Fighters must eventually choose a path for themselves, and they may choose to become a Blademaster , Warrior, Guardian, or Berserker.

Promotion Rewards

After your promotion, you gain access to new Elite Skills and the Fury Formation. You also earn 1 additional Guild Skill/Buff. If you are not in a guild at the time of your promotion, you gain this bonus when you join one.

Class Change

To earn your promotion after you reach Lv. 20, you must overcome the many challenges your Class Trainer sets before you. Speak to your Class Trainer in Waterford after you have completed the class change quests to receive your promotion. The server you play on may limit the list of available classes.

Class Change Rewards

Changing your class opens up new, more specialized skills. You also earn 1 additional Guild Skill/Buff. If you are not in a guild at the time of your class change, you gain this bonus when you join one.

Your SP automatically reset after you change your class.

Available Classes (Fighter)

Guardian: Specialized in defensive tactics and versatile with their shield, Guardians have the highest defense rating of any class.

Warrior: Warriors are ruthless combatants who use devastating grab attacks and charge skills.

Blademaster: While some fighters rush headlong into battle, Blademasters focus on using intricate sword techniques to thwart their opponents.

Berserker: Berserkers wield a terrifying greatsword and boast the highest attack power of any class. While the greatsword makes Berserkers slower than other Fighter classes, they are still able to deal a tremendous amount of damage with their greatsword combos and blind rage.


HUNTER

Hunters stalk their prey before attacking them from a distance. Their weapons include daggers to quickly dispatch enemies that get too close, and bows to deal devastating attacks from far away. Eventually, hunters have to choose from the specialized classes available to them, and they may choose to become an Assassin, Ranger, or Scout.

Once you reach Lv. 10, you can take specialized tests and complete Master Alex’s quest to earn a promotion.

Available Classes (Hunter)

Ranger: Rangers are skilled at performing long-range silent attacks. No strangers to adversity, Rangers can perform ranged attacks in virtually any situation.

Assassin: A flashy class that specializes in melee-range skills. Assassins are the fastest and most technical of all the classes.

Scout: Scouts use traps and a wide range of skills from other hunter classes to deal damage to their enemies.

Shadow: Shadows dual-wield daggers to rapidly slay foes with their deadly combo attacks.


SHAMAN

Shamans resemble the priest class in other games, but shamans in C9 can attack enemies using magic or a magic staff, which doubles as a weapon. After reaching level 20, shamans must choose whether to become an Illusionist, Elementalist, or Taoist.

Available Classes (Shaman)

Illusionist: This class specializes in magic that clouds the mind and misleads foes. Illusionists are capable of summoning phantoms and serve as powerful defensive sorcerers.

Taoist: A hybrid class that uses both physical skills and magic, Taoists can easily switch between physical and magical attacks by changing their weapon.

Elementalist: Elementalists are powerful sorcerers that specialize in elemental magic. They fortify every action they perform with magical energy.

Reaperess: Reaperesses attack quickly and viciously with their trademark scythe, but they have few evasive skills and have weak defenses.


WITCHBLADE

Witchblades are natives to Blaine's Shalidi, once the gathering place of the gods, an area imbued with the mysterious powers of ancient deities. Tireless efforts allowed the Witchblades to eventually absorb these powers and become elite Witchblades – capable of both lightning-quick physical attacks and potent magical abilities.

Available Classes (Whitchblade)

Slayer: Slayers combine blade attacks with dark magic. While they are fast, they are still significantly slower than most Hunters.

Warden: Wardens use ice magic as well as sword skills.

Bladedancer: A class that performs acrobatic attacks while wielding two swords at once. Bladedancers specialize in close and mid-range combos.
