    LG Optimus One will get updated to Gingerbread after all

    Either someone made a mistake in that Facebook post or it was the public outcry, but the LG Optimus One P500 will be allowed to enter the Gingerbread house after all. The whole 1GHz processor speed requirement turned out to be a mistake.
    Another day, another LG Optimus One news. Just a couple of days a go bad news came by way of the LG Mobile USA Facebook page - no Android 2.3 Gingerbread for the LG Optimus One, citing a "1GHz minimum" requirement by the new OS. It was quickly rebutted on Twitter by a member of the Android team and LG admitted the announcement was premature and said they are waiting on an official compatibility document.
    Now, LG has issued an official Public Notice apologizing for the confusion and have confirmed that they will upgrade the LG Optimus One P500 to Gingerbread. They didn't give any specific target date for when this will happen but current and future Optimus One owners (including all its carrier-specific variations) can breathe a sigh of relief.
    Presumably, the update will be available for the LG Optimus Chic E720, which has the same specs as the Optimus One (the ones that matter anyway).
    Anyway, whatever caused the "misunderstanding" has been resolved, and the Optimus One has become an even better bargain than before.

    3 point yang bikin hp ini ketinggalan dari hp android lainnya.... masa iya cuman 256k colour... sedangkan yang lain berbondong2 menyuguhkan 16m colour...

    katanya sih hampir semua tipe batre LG mank cepet panas gw aja jadi ragu padahal ni hp dah turun harga jadi 2.4jt mayan tapi klu

    Gwe beli cuman 1.4jt :peace: :lol:....

    So far so good. Gwe masih pake Froyo, OpenOptimus. Masih coba-coba. Gwe pake Whatsapp, sama Yahoo Messenger, dalam 8 jam dari 100% -> 50an%. Jadi bisa bertahan 16 jam kalo stand by, tapi Synchronize terus. Kalo misalkan pake Chatting ya paling 8 jam habis.

    Soal Panas, kalo gak pake kerja yang berat ga panas koq dan gwe rasa handphone lain pun kalo dipaksa kerja berat otomatis pasti bakal panas (O1 kebanyakan ROMnya di overclock, bahkan kondisi standardnya pun lebih digedein performanya udah). Main Game HD, sekitar 1/2 jam cukup untuk bikin HP ini panas. (Di Tes pake Hawx)

    Dan isu soal office yang berat, hanya berlaku kalo pake ROM yang masih standard. Jadi kalo pake LG Optimus One ini, lumayan wajib untuk ganti ROM. Saran gwe mungkin malah OpenOptimus.

    Gwe udah coba devoid... Tapi hasilnya nurut gwe pribadi kurang menggembirakan.

    Tambahan deh, kalo buat pengguna Gingerbread Optimus One (yang udah berhasil ubah ke official Gingerbread LG)
    The bestnya untuk Gingerbread : Aga Rom. Cuman bootscreennya agak norak :hihi:.... Jadi gwe ganti Bootscreen Gingerbread punya :top: keren abis bootnya.
