    Menjelang lawan Leverkusen

The last time Bayer 04 Leverkusen won in Munich, Toni Kroos wasn’t even born. Back on 21 October 1989, a certain Marek Lesniak scored the only goal of the game at the Olympic stadium. Since then, Leverkusen have visited the Bavarian capital 23 times, and failed to win on all 23 occasions. All in all, the Rhineland side have only won two of their 35 competitive fixtures away to FCB, most recently the aforementioned game almost 22 years ago.

Toni Kroos was born on 4 January 1990 and is 21 years of age. He regards Bayer’s long unsuccessful run in Munich as “curious, because Leverkusen have had a quality team for many, many years now.” Kroos himself spent the period from January 2009 until June 2010 on loan to Leverkusen, and boasts a decent personal record against FCB, only losing one of four encounters – although naturally enough, he and the Rhineland side never won in Munich.

“I can’t explain it,” said Kroos, musing further on Bayer’s Munich jinx, “but I hope the streak continues.” Leverkusen visit Bayern again early on Saturday evening, and even though Toni returned to the Säbener Strasse more than a year ago, it remains “a very special match. I had a terrific time in Leverkusen, and it’s no secret I wasn’t entirely happy with coming back here at the time. But with the benefit of hindsight, it was the right thing to do.”

Nowadays, Kroos can legitimately call himself a regular at Bayern. He has appeared in nine of the ten matches so far this season, starting eight of them, and his form has been steadily improving with every passing week. “I’ve maintained the momentum I built up in the last two internationals for Germany and I’ve been showing what I can do,” he commented. The player feels he has become “more effective” as the season has gone on.

“Toni’s coming on really well,” commented Jupp Heynckes, clearly a master in getting the best out of the player. The FCB coach brought Kroos to Leverkusen on loan and helped him make his Bundesliga breakthrough. The partnership between the pair is still bearing fruit in Munich. “I know how to approach him. I know how to push and motivate him. I know I have to light a fire under his backside from time to time,” said Heynckes, who feels the 21-year-old still has plenty of room to improve in terms of tackling and stamina, “because we already know he can play a bit.”

Dan akhirnya pemenangnya adalah tuan rumah 3-0.
    Pencetak gol :
    5′ Thomas Müller
    19′ Daniel Van Buyten
    90′ Arjen Robben

Next game vs Man City :awas:
Are Bayern unstoppable? On Saturday, FCB won without conceding a goal for the ninth time in a row. Manuel Neuer has not picked the ball from the back of his net for 838 minutes of play, and the forwards have scored 26 times so far. “They’re on a level with Barcelona or Real Madrid. Bayern Munich are the real exception in the Bundesliga,” commented Leverkusen director of sport Rudi Völler following FCB’s 3-0 victory. “We didn’t stand a chance. Bayern are in a class of their own.”

“In this form, the only thing that can stop us is complacency,” said Philipp Lahm in the wake of a truly commanding display against Leverkusen. Bayern won the shot count 12-4, controlled 61 percent of the possession and won 53 percent of their challenges, underlining the home side’s dominance on the day. Indeed, the result was no longer in any serious doubt after early goals from Thomas Müller (5th minute) and Daniel van Buyten (19).

Bayern more or less comfortably ran down the clock after that, with comeback man Arjen Robben providing a last-minute highlight with the third goal. “That was a very well-rounded performance today,” commented coach Jupp Heynckes, “I’m very pleased with the match, the team and my players. We weren’t as sparkling as we have been in the last few weeks, but we were smart. The goals fell at just the right time. I never had the feeling we’d lose it from there on. Overall, my team was dominant and in control at all times.”

    Up for the next challenge

The men from Munich also had to expend the minimum of effort to secure the three points. “We have a massive game on Tuesday, which will need us to play at maximum pace for the full 90 minutes,” as Heynckes said, looking ahead to the Champions League meeting with Manchester City. “Obviously, it’s another step up from today.” Bastian Schweinsteiger predicted “probably the most challenging game of the season so far. We’re really, really looking forward to it.”

Bayern pun menggandakan keunggulannya menjelang babak pertama berakhir. Tendangan Kroos disambut tandukan Daniel van Buyten, namun ditepis Hart.

The Allianz Arena erupted in joy on Tuesday as Bayern saw off Premier League title contenders Manchester City 2-0 in Champions League Group A. “That was a good display and a great team performance,” enthused Karl-Heinz Rummenigge. “We scored the goals at the right time and we were comfortable after that,” Jupp Heynckes stated. Two-goal Mario Gomez said he was “delighted I was in the right place to score.”

Reaction to Bayern v Manchester City:
Karl-Heinz Rummenigge: “That was a good display and a great team performance, although Manchester City were also excellent in the first 30 minutes, when they showed what a good team they are. But in the second half we were totally on top of them. All the team played well, but Franck Ribéry and Jérôme Boateng were exceptional. We’ve put ourselves in a great position to qualify for the last sixteen.”

Jupp Heynckes: “We scored the goals at the right time and we were very comfortable after that. We were nervous to start with and didn’t really believe in ourselves. We changed things around a little midway through the first half, and we settled after that. Ribéry was world-class today, Schweinsteiger too. Everything went our way in the second half. Right now, it’s not just that we have great team spirit, we’re extremely settled and stable, our zonal play is excellent – and we have outstanding individuals too.”

Mario Gomez: “At the start, Manchester passed the ball really well. I think we were a little nervous, which is hard to explain given the great form we’re in. But we did well as a team from the 30th minute onwards and we ultimately deserved the win. I personally needed time to get into the game. It wasn’t my best game ever, but I scored two goals. I’m delighted I was in the right place to score.”

Jérôme Boateng: “Winning today is a good feeling. We settled down after 25 minutes and scored the goals. The second half was very good and we deserved to win it. We’ve kept another clean sheet and that’s class.”

Roberto Mancini (Man City manager): “We played very well for 30 minutes, when we had a chance. But at this level if you don't run for 90 minutes you have a problem. We didn't work very well after 30 minutes. When they scored the second goal, the game was finished. Maybe at the moment Bayern Munich is too strong for us, but we have a chance to go through, we still have four games to go and all is not lost.”

Kolo Touré (Man City): “We started well, but we stopped defending as a team, and that’s what you have to do in the Champions League. That’s why we’ve lost.”

    TSG Hoffenheim vs Bayern Munich

    =================================================
1899 TSG Hoffenheim vs Bayern Munich
SABTU, 01 OCTOBER 2011, KICK OFF 20.30 WIB
    =================================================

Van Buyten or Badstuber? Rafinha or Boateng? Luiz Gustavo or Tymoshchuk? Against Freiburg? Against Schalke? Against Manchester City? Regardless of who plays and the identity of their opponents, Bayern have kept clean sheet after clean sheet for weeks now. In the 12 matches of the campaign to date, only Gladbach’s Igor de Camargo has succeeded in putting the ball past Manuel Neuer, and that was more than 50 days ago.

Since that game, Bayern have won ten matches on the trot, and have shut out their opponents in all ten matches. That is a new best for the club, while a goal difference of +20 (21 for, one against) after seven matches is a Bundesliga record. Overall, the club’s stats so far of 31 goals scored and just one conceded stands up extremely well in comparison with almost every other pro club. It is no overstatement to say that Bayern currently boast Europe’s meanest defence.

In England, Spain and Italy, the continent’s other major leagues, only one club can match Bayern’s miserliness with only a single goal against: Udinese have scored five and conceded one, although the Italian season is just four games old. Otherwise, competition for FCB comes only from Turkish leaders Istanbul BB (F6, A1 after four matches), Macedonian front-runners Metalurg Skopje (F 13, A1 after eight games) and Cypriot outfit AEL Limassol (F5, A0 after three matches), although these three leagues are recognised as second-tier at best.

The Bayern defence passed its sternest test so far against top-drawer opposition in Tuesday’s Champions League showdown against Manchester City, with yet another clean sheet for Manuel Neuer. The keeper only saw serious action in the first 30 minutes, without really having a difficult save to make. After that, he only had to deal with two further shots at his goal.

Holger Badstuber reckons the recipe for the defensive success is “very simple: we’re working together. We’re all running for the others, supporting the others and speaking to the others.” It is a view confirmed by Franck Ribéry: “From Mario (Gomez) to Manuel (Neuer), everyone’s working on defence. We’re all working for the team.”

Jupp Heynckes must take much of the credit for convincing the players of the vital importance of putting in the leg-work in defence. “All the players are willing to defend, because the coach has made it clear there’ll be no compromises,” Christian Nerlinger was quoted as saying in Thursday’s kicker.

Since taking charge in the summer, Heynckes has worked hard with the squad on pressing and closing down opponents’ options when not in possession. Three months into the project, the results are impressive. “It’s not just the defenders,” offered Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, “the strikers are throwing up the first barrier. And in midfield we have the likes of Gustavo, Tymoshchuk, Schweinsteiger and Kroos, which is the key.”

Neuer himself said it was “remarkable that the attacking players willingly throw themselves into the job of defending”. Thomas Müller identified one incident from the City clash typifying the new attitude: “Franck lost the ball during an attack – and won it back on his own by-line.” Only Jérôme Boateng (6) and Philipp Lahm (5) pulled off more tackles than winger Ribéry (3). Müller (4) came second to Boateng (6) in interceptions. At the back, Jerome and Daniel van Buyten both won 100 percent of their challenges.

Hoffenheim are lining up to have a crack at Bayern’s clean-sheet record this Saturday, but if FCB can carry on where they left off against the men from Manchester, they could pass a magnificent milestone after 72 minutes in Sinsheim, namely 1,000 minutes of play without conceding a goal.
Ayo Neuer, pecahkan rekor 1000 menit tanpa kebobolan dan terus pertahankan.

The traditional squad visit to the world-famous Oktoberfest is on the FCB schedule for Sunday, but Jupp Heynckes won't be seen on any of the myriad rides and attractions. “You shouldn't put yourself in danger," the beaming head coach said on Friday. He became serious again immediately afterwards, as he contemplated the Bundesliga trip to Hoffenheim on Saturday. “And that applies equally to us in our situation. It's extremely important to keep your feet on the ground."

Bayern's current streak runs to ten consecutive victories without conceding a goal, culminating in a praiseworthy 2–0 Champions League success against Manchester City last Tuesday, but all that is history now, Heynckes insisted. “Past victories count for nothing," the coach warned, and the score at the start of Saturday's Rhein-Neckar-Arena clash will be 0–0 as always. “We want to continue our run and cement our grip on first place, but to do that, we have to beat Hoffenheim."

“We don't want carelessness creeping in," Heynckes continued, “so my staff and I have worked hard on keeping the squad motivated." The aim is for the players to carry on where they left off against City, “and if we do that, I'm confident of victory, although it's always been tough in Hoffenheim."

FCB remain undefeated at the arena in Sinsheim, but have also only won once in their three visits to date. There are reasons to be specially wary of the home side on this occasion, as Heynckes described the side lying fourth in the standings as “resurgent" since the arrival of new boss Holger Stanislawski. “They're very stable, they play good football, they’re well organised, and they have quick players who are good on the break."

As for Hoffenheim, the intention is to use exactly these qualities against the league leaders. “Obviously, we want to beat them, because otherwise we needn't bother showing up," Stanislawski stated. The former St Pauli stalwart has worked hard with his men this week on pressing high up the field, seeking to stifle Bayern's feared passing and movement. “It'll be a real test for us," Stanislawski noted.

The Hoffenheim boss, who may be able to call on fit-again striker Vedad Ibisevic for the first time this season, sees Bayern “winning the league by a startling margin," regardless of the result on Saturday. Heynckes moved to silence such dangerous talk: “That's obviously what everyone says just before they play Bayern, but I've yet to experience the champions picking up the trophy after seven matches."

FCB approach their sixth game in three weeks seeking to summon up the last remaining reserves of energy prior to the latest international break. “The City match cost us a lot physically," admitted Heynckes, “but I think my players' batteries will be recharged by tomorrow." The coach may well choose to rotate his squad in one or two positions.

That could mean a return for Holger Badstuber, sidelined on Tuesday with the flu, while Arjen Robben is desperate for a comeback in the starting line-up. “I'm going to wait and see how he feels," Heynckes said on Friday, “he's told me he still has minor aches and pains. But if he tells me he's up to the job, he's in contention for the starting line-up."

Robben is not the only player fired up for the match. “We've achieved nothing yet. We have to keep it going," urged Mario Gomez. And according to Bavarian native Bastian Schweinsteiger, the success of the Oktoberfest outing is at stake: “We're going to the fair on Sunday, and we want to go there on the back of a victory."
    Hati-hati terjegal di kandang lawan.

    TSG Hoffenheim vs Bayern Munich
    =================================================
Seperti dugaan saya, Bayern hanya bermain imbang.
Rekor sepuluh kemenangan berturut-turut milik Bayern Munich akhirnya terputus setelah hanya bermain imbang tanpa gol melawan TSG Hoffenheim di Stadion Wirsol Rhein Neckar Arena, Sabtu (1/10) malam WIB.

Namun tandukannya menyambut tendangan bebas berhasil ditepis Neuer.

Sukses memberikan tekanan membuat pemain Hoffenheim percaya diri. Beruntung Bayern tidak dijatuhi hukuman penalti ketika Gylfi Sigurdsson dilanggar Daniel van Buyten di kotak terlarang.

Sepanjang babak pertama, kiper Hoffenheim Tom Starke hanya sekali mendapat tekanan ketika ia gagal menghalau sepakan Jerome Boateng.

Tak lama berselang, Bayern berhasil menjebol gawang Hoffenheim.

Bayern’s winning streak ended in the goalless draw away to Hoffenheim, but there was yet another clean sheet on Saturday, as the Bavarians have now gone 1,018 minutes of play without conceding. After watching his men retain the lead in the standings, and in the light of an energy-sapping few weeks, boss Jupp Heynckes was satisfied with his team’s performance: “The draw’s the right result, in my opinion.”

    Reaction to Hoffenheim v Bayern:

Jupp Heynckes: “We started well and had the match under control for the first 20 minutes, but Hoffenheim ran hard, showed lots of fighting spirit and seized the initiative. The draw’s the right result, in my opinion. We were magnificent last Tuesday, and we’ve expended a lot of physical effort in recent weeks. One or two of my players simply weren’t sharp this afternoon, but that’s normal. We gave a battling display, we were very smart, and we’ve kept another clean sheet.”

Philipp Lahm: “We came up against good opponents today, and you could see we were tired and short of energy, so you’ve got to be happy with a goalless draw away from home. We never really got going and we often came up short in our tackling. We pulled ourselves together a little after half-time and made a couple of chances, but at the end of the day, the draw was the right result.”

Manuel Neuer: “Hoffenheim put us under a lot of pressure. We weren’t as fresh today, probably due to the Champions League match in midweek. But it’s important we’ve come away with a point.”

Holger Stanislawski (Hoffenheim coach): “We should have won the match. We dictated the play for 60 or 65 minutes, so we’ve dropped two points. However, my team were outstanding, it was really, really good. But for all that, we’ve failed to score. I’m still completely happy and pleased with my lads.”

Andreas Beck (Hoffenheim captain): “Bayern are in world-class form right now, they’re the gold standard in Europe. We were looking to attack, to take the attacking initiative. Obviously we’d have liked all three points, but it wasn’t to be. The goalless draw is OK.”

»»» VIDEO Hoffenheim VS Bayern Munich 0-0 «««

Rekor sepuluh kemenangan milik Bayern Munich akhirnya gagal didapat, setelah hanya bermain imbang tanpa gol melawan TSG Hoffenheim di Stadion Wirsol Rhein Neckar Arena, Sabtu (1/10) malam WIB.

Sukses memberikan tekanan, membuat pemain Hoffenheim semakin percaya diri. Beruntung Bayern tidak dijatuhi hukuman penalti ketika Gylfi Sigurdsson dilanggar Daniel van Buyten di kotak penalti. Sepanjang babak pertama, kiper Hoffenheim Tom Starke hanya sekali mendapatkan tekanan ketika ia gagal menghalau sepakan Jerome Boateng.

Hingga pluit panjang ditiupkan wasit, skor imbang tanpa gol tetap bertahan.

"Tahun lalu, mereka bahkan menyalahkan kami atas cedera Arjen.

Bayern Munich are chasing Chelsea striker Didier Drogba.

The Daily Star Sunday says Chelsea hope they can persuade Drogba, 33, to sign a new deal but Bayern – and Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp – are waiting in the wings.

Drogba has already created a stir in Munich. He turned up this month at the city’s Oktoberfest – complete with Lederhosen! The Ivorian has been at Chelsea for seven years after a £24million move from Marseille.

But his place in the starting line-up is under threat from £50m Fernando Torres, 27, and recent signing Romelu Lukaku, 18.
