Geologist

An excellent opportunity for Geologist has arisen to join our MEG team. Residentially based in Balikpapan Support Facility and reporting to the Senior Geologist. You will establish a geological modeling capacity in Thiess Indonesia, providing effective exploration, mine planning services and technical support for tender preparation and existing operations.

The scope of your role will include but not be limited to provide reconciliation reports and recoverable reserve status of quantity and quality, report on model variances; prepare geological models/data as required and actively communicate unexpected occurrences of faults, partings, pinch and swell, and similar geological disturbances; provide Model documentation report; due diligence on geological models.

To be successful in this role you will need have Bachelor Degree in geology or mining engineering, previous experiences in similar role at least 2 (two) years experiences in large open cut mining and mine engineering, Mining heavy industry experience is essential; Pratama” Certification – Mine and Energy Department – preferred. Outstanding proficiency in geological modeling and mine planning (Mincom) and other general office software (Microsoft); mining Principles, Mine design concepts and mining methods; excellent interpersonal and communication skills for both or*l and written in English/Bahasa; an awareness of mine operation regulatory requirements; hard worker, honest, problem solving using analytical method, computer literate and communicative.

Engineer – Mining

An excellent opportunity for Engineer – Mining has arisen to join our Project Service Department team. Residentially based in Sangatta Project, East Kalimantan and reporting to the Senior Pit Engineer, you will ensure a short term planning service that guides the mining operation clearly; and ensure the target set by the project are met in a time and quality manner.

The scopes of your role will include but not limited to ensure mine planning provided productively and maximum coal recovery in the most cost effectively and safe manner; ensure agreed mine planning followed by mining operation; to communicate short term planning issues to mining operation.

To be successful in this role you will need to have a minimum Bachelor Degree in Mining or Geological Engineering. Familiar with mine designing and mine operation in practice; understand mine operation works and use it to develop and / or review mine design / plan; familiar with Minescape (mine design, mine reserve). Having strong motivation, English proficiency spoken and written, supportive, communicative, hard worker, self motivation, team player, and able to work under pressure are preferred character traits
Engineer Mine Planning

An excellent opportunity for Engineer – Mine Planning & Scheduling has arisen to join our Project Service Department team. Residentially based in Sangatta Project, East Kalimantan and reporting to the Senior Mine Planning & Scheduling Engineer, you will ensure to provide the technical mine design, scheduling and monitoring function for the mining operation; ensure all work provides for the maximum machine productivity and coal recovery in the most cost effective and safe manner.

The scopes of your role will include but not limited to design safe, cost effective mine plans and ensure they are issued ahead of time; ensure designs are discussed with mine planning personnel and consensus is reached on the design approach; Participate, provide input to and discuss the mining plan and any innovations, or issues with Technical Services and Production personnel; monitor and control dump areas, haul distance, and equipment productivities; monitor the direction of the mining operation to ensure; schedules are being followed and advice on the implications of variances from schedule; provide feedback to the Mine Planning Superintendent and the Engineering group to keep them informed of any changes of sequence required in the pit; prepare appropriate summaries and statistics of equipment (costs, performance, availability, and utilization), material movement, and inventory levels
To be successful in this role you will need to have a minimum Bachelor Degree in Mining or Geological Engineering. Have experience on mining operation practice is more preferable, with minimum of 2 years experience on Mining Engineering practice. The candidate should have Mine design concepts & operations in coal mining, scheduling, and planning skill. Having strong motivation, English proficiency spoken and written, supportive, communicative, hard worker, self motivation, team player, and able to work under pressure are preferred character traits.
