Streetdirectory Pte Ltd is a publishing and technology firm based in Singapore with regional offices in Malaysia, Indonesia & Philippines. Collectively, the group has over 300 staff across Asia.

Our consumer arm owns and manages Singapore's most popular travel and map directory Streetdirectory.com. Monthly, over 3 million unique visitors uses Streetdirectory.com to find Maps, Businesses, Driving Directions, Jobs and Travel Information. The website has been in operation since 1999.

Our engineering team is currently looking for talented and energetic web developers to research and build new and exciting location based solutions which incorporate social media and smart phone platforms. The position is based in our Jakarta office with potential transfers and term postings to our Singapore based offices.

Web Developer : PHP / Javascript


Job Description :


* Develop application code from start to finish or to prototype applications using
existing resources to meet business objectives
* Testing the website and optimize performance for front facing consumer
applications
* Determining any functionality that the site must support and developing PHP
content based on practical approved layout
* Identifying the content type the site will host and ensuring compatibility with the
PHP programming requirements
* Enable to develop php application using code igniter framework or other frameworks
which may be employed.

Candidates should be prepared to demonstrate their capabilities either through previews of previous projects developed or to undertake in house examinations to determine proficiency and application of development techniques.

Requirements:

* Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Computer
Science/Information Technology or equivalent from a reputable institution.
* Primary skill (s): in PHP, JavaScript, Ajax, and MySQL
* Proficiency in OOP programming is required.
* At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this
position, fresh graduates are welcome to apply but should demonstrate a strong
ability to learn and apply theory to practice.
* Comfortable producing well-commented and structured code.
* Self motivated, articulate and able to work independently or collectively in a team.
* Required language(s): English is preferred for project communication with regional
offices.
* Previous experience in managing front facing consumer website with high volume
traffic is a significant advantage and this position will allow you to leverage on that
experience.
* Candidates should be interested in location based services and be willing to expand
experiences to the mobile and social media space.
